Sean Brynmawr, age 15, is addicted to the clouds. He has an almost suicidal dream of free-falling from them.
Sean is the lone survivor of a plane that exploded in mid-air when he was 10. Christened the "Miracle Child," he survived a free-fall of 40,000 feet. With only 2 major injuries. Feeling as if he's lost all control, Sean dreams to challenge the sky itself to a duel of survival, by beginning a career of balloon-jumping believing it to be the only way to find peace, and avenge his mother who died on the plane that fateful day.

Though the third generation of her family to be born in the USA, she is slated to become an African sangoma! Her destiny is clear; join the other “Big 40 Shaman” to put an end to Monroe once and for all – that is if the journey doesn’t kill her first.
